Personal city guides

Tips from a human who's been there. Not from an algorithm.

Friends kept asking for tips — restaurants, cafes, where to go out, which neighbourhoods, what to skip. So I wrote it all down. These are my real notes, honest takes, Google Maps lists, and yes — a queer lens on every city.

A peek into the Montreal guide
🍔 Smash burgers, ranked
Projet Pilote
Pricier, but cleaner. Great beer, window seat at sunset if you're lucky.
Joyo Burger
Sloppy but good. The Mexican one is too sloppy, tbh.
Double's
If you want a smash at a dive bar — the bar itself is not actually great.
MDMH
Casse-croûte vibes with delish burgers. Off the usual areas.
☕ Cafes — with laptop ratings
Pastel Rita 💻💻💻
Cocktails, great direct light. The argousier lemonade is everything in summer.
Structure Roasters 💻
One of the best in the city — even for takeout. In downtown, which says something.
Le Falco 💻💻💻
Great for remote work + Japanese lunch. Gets busy at 12:30. Closes at 3pm though.
Savsav 💻💻
Hip, trendy, weird but sunny location. Works.
💅 Gay scene & parties
Halloween at Stereo
Go the Saturday, not the Friday. It's called Scareo. You'll understand when you're there.
Exposé Noir
Berlin vibes, nice productions. Sign up to their newsletter — that's the only way you'll know.
Stereo on New Year's
Go the day of, not NYE. Buy your ticket months in advance. Seriously.
Boiler Room
Happens occasionally. Keep an eye out — when it's on, it's on.
